The Story of Creto Wood and 25 Year Wood Sealers
There has been much hype about the wood sealing products that are claimed to last 25 years. While we think those claims may be a bit premature, the science in these types of wood petrification products is solid. Restore-A-Deck has one company vision and that is to sell to homeowner's and DIY enthusiasts the absolute best deck products on the market at an affordable price. Creto-Wood is a product we have found to meet our stringent standards. We stand behind CretoWood as a product that will work perfectly for fences, wood siding or on any wood that is exposed to moisture. CretoWood will not prevent the wood from graying. For this reason we tentatively recommend it for decks as many people like to keep the beauty and aesthetic appearance of stained wood. You can use CretoWood to strengthen and harden your deck's substrate. It will penetrate the wood and still allow a stain to grip the surface if you choose to apply one. Do NOT use on hardwoods such as ipe, mahogany or any of the exotic wood species. For those woods apply WoodZotic Hardwood Stain and Seal.
 CretoWood by itself is a perfect application for fences as most people do not want the expense and time burden of staining and maintaining a fence. CretoWood will cure by sunlight exposure and form a very tough barrier. You can easily double or triple the life of a wood fence with a single application. The wood will actually become more dense and resist moisture damage and help prevent the associated cupping, checking and splitting that occurs with untreated wood. The application is simple as the product is clear. Simply apply with a pump style sprayer and let it soak into the wood.

Instructions For Use
One pail of CretoWood will cover between 500 to 1000 square feet depending on the age and porosity of the wood.
1. Clean the wood and pH balance it with the appropriate sized Restore-A-Deck package. The wood must be free of contaminants, mold or prior finish.
2. Allow the wood to dry for a day or two.
3. Stir the contents of the pail and transfer to a pump up style sprayer.
4. Apply liberally, saturating the wood. On vertical surfaces apply from bottom to top. Normal applications usually only require one coat and will yield the higher numbers of spread rate. If the wood is very dry, a second application may be neccessary.
5. Allow to dry for 2 hours before allowing any foot traffic.
That's it! Clean up with water and you won't have to do anything else. Your wood is protected. The product will continue to cure for up to six months forming a very tough water barrier.
Notes:
• Water will not bead on the surface as this product does not contain wax.
• Apply when temperatures are above 45 degrees with no chance of the temperature falling below freezing
